Jake Hughes (* <a href="30._Mai" title="30. Mai">30. Mai</a> <a href="1994" title="1994">1994</a> in <a href="Birmingham" title="Birmingham">Birmingham</a>) ist ein <a href="Vereinigtes_K%C3%B6nigreich" title="Vereinigtes Königreich">britischer</a> <a href="Automobilsport" title="Automobilsport">Automobilrennfahrer</a>.

Hughes begann seine <a href="Motorsport" title="Motorsport">Motorsportkarriere</a> 2010 im <a href="Kartsport" title="Kartsport">Kartsport</a>,<a href="#cite_note-1">[1]</a> in dem er bis 2012 aktiv blieb. 2012 debütierte er zudem im <a href="Formelsport" title="Formelsport">Formelsport</a>. Er nahm für Antel Motorsport an je zwei Rennen der BARC <a href="Formel_Renault" title="Formel Renault">Formel Renault</a> und deren Winterserie teil. Darüber hinaus fuhr er im Amateurmotorsport für Antel Motorsport zwei Rennen in der V de V Challenge. 2013 wechselte Hughes zu Lanan Racing in die neugegründete BRDC Formula 4 Championship. Er gewann vier Rennen und entschied die Meisterschaft mit 445 zu 410 Punkten vor <a href="Seb_Morris" title="Seb Morris">Seb Morris</a> für sich.

2014 fuhr Hughes in mehreren Formel-Renault-Meisterschaften. Für Mark Burdett Racing und das <a href="ART_Grand_Prix" title="ART Grand Prix">ART Junior Team</a> nahm er an der <a href="Formel_Renault_2.0_Northern_European_Cup" title="Formel Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup">nordeuropäischen Formel Renault</a> teil. Mit einem dritten Platz als bestem Ergebnis wurde er Achter in der Fahrerwertung. Außerdem bestritt er für Mark Burdett Racing und Strakka Racing Gaststarts im <a href="Formel_Renault_2.0_Eurocup" class="mw-redirect" title="Formel Renault 2.0 Eurocup">Formel Renault 2.0 Eurocup</a> und für Strakka Racing Gaststarts in der alpinen Formel Renault. 2015 wechselte Hughes zu Koiranen GP.<a href="#cite_note-2">[2]</a> Im Formel Renault 2.0 Eurocup gewann er ein Rennen und wurde Gesamtsechster. In der alpinen Formel Renault beendete er die Meisterschaft mit vier Siegen auf dem zweiten Platz. In beiden Serien wurde sein Teamkollege <a href="Jack_Aitken" title="Jack Aitken">Jack Aitken</a> Meister.

<a href="GP3-Serie_2016" title="GP3-Serie 2016">2016</a> erhielt Hughes ein Cockpit bei <a href="DAMS" title="DAMS">DAMS</a> in die <a href="GP3-Serie" title="GP3-Serie">GP3-Serie</a>.<a href="#cite_note-3">[3]</a> Er gewann zwei Rennen und schloss die Saison als bester DAMS-Fahrer auf dem achten Rang ab. Darüber hinaus nahm Hughes für <a href="Carlin_Motorsport" title="Carlin Motorsport">Carlin</a> am letzten Rennwochenende der <a href="Europ%C3%A4ische_Formel-3-Meisterschaft" title="Europäische Formel-3-Meisterschaft">europäischen Formel-3-Meisterschaft</a> <a href="Europ%C3%A4ische_Formel-3-Meisterschaft_2016" title="Europäische Formel-3-Meisterschaft 2016">2016</a> teil. Dabei erzielte er einen dritten Platz. <a href="Europ%C3%A4ische_Formel-3-Meisterschaft_2017" title="Europäische Formel-3-Meisterschaft 2017">2017</a> wechselt Hughes zu <a href="Hitech_Racing" class="mw-redirect" title="Hitech Racing">Hitech Grand Prix</a>, für welches er weiterhin in der europäischen Formel-3-Meisterschaft antritt.

Seit Mitte der Saison 2021 fährt Hughes in der Formel 2 für HWA-Racelab.<a href="#cite_note-4">[4]</a>

Ab 2023 wird Jake Hughes in der <a href="FIA-Formel-E-Weltmeisterschaft" title="FIA-Formel-E-Weltmeisterschaft">FIA-Formel-E-Weltmeisterschaft</a> antreten und die Formel 2 Saison 2022 vorzeitig beenden. Auf Twitter kündigte er diesen Wechsel am 23.8. an, dort sagte er, dass die Pflichten zu viel sein, welche er für RoKit Venturi habe. In der <a href="FIA-Formel-E-Weltmeisterschaft_2022/23" title="FIA-Formel-E-Weltmeisterschaft 2022/23">Saison 2022/2023</a> tritt er für <a href="McLaren_Racing" title="McLaren Racing">McLaren</a> in der Formel E an.<a href="#cite_note-5">[5]</a>
